Department of Meteorology today advised that temperature in several areas will increase up to ‘Extreme Caution Level’ in the coming days.
The Department said temperature in North-Western, Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in Mannar, Vavuniya, Anuradhapura , Gampaha and the Moneragala Districts will reach Extreme Caution Level. Accordingly the temperature in those areas was expected to spike from 32c degrees to 41 c degrees.
“People in these areas could suffer from heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke as a result of the situation,” the Department said.
