Sri Lanka’s 22 year old Nalisha Banu was crowned the Miss World 2021 (World of World Tourism) yesterday (28).
This time the contest was held in the Philippines and she gained first place from among competitors from 30 countries.
Second place went to Ecuador while Canada won third place.This is the first time that Sri Lanka has won the first place despite having previously bagged the third place in the Miss World Tourism pageant.
In addition to the crown, Nalisha Banu also won two events, Miss Popular and Miss Talent. She won the Miss Talent event for her performance combining Angampora and fire.
