A rally will take place today (12) at the Badulla Wills Park Stadium calling for the nomination of Minister Sajith Premadasa as the United National Party (UNP) presidential candidate for 2020.
The rally is being spearheaded by Minister Harin Fernando and is scheduled to take place at 3.00 p.m.
UNP General Secretary, Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam last week said participants should adhere to its code of conduct and anybody violating it would be subject to disciplinary action.
