The Nugegoda Table Tennis Club conducted its Aarya Plus Challenge Trophy Table Tennis Championship – 2021 on the 07th, 08thand 09thJanuary 2022, at the Bandaragama Indoor Stadium.
Krishan Wickramarathna of VidyarthaCollege, Kandy OBA beat current National Champion Senura Silva of Ananda College, Colombo by 3/2 in a final of the Mens Singles event .The Womens Singles Ayala Chitty of Ladies College Colombo beat HansaniPiumila of Sri Lanka Navy by 3/2.
Senura Silva was adjudged as the Best Mens player and awarded Aarya Plus Challenge Trophy and Cash award Rs. 10,000 / – , whilst BimandeeBandara was adjudged as the Best Womens player and awarded AaryaPlus Challenge Trophy and Cash award Rs. 10,000 / –
Ayla Chitty bt Top Seed { Current National Champion } MuthumaliPriyadharshani in the Quarter Finals and Third Seed BimandeeBandara in Semi Finals and came to the Finals.
The Chief Guest at the finals was Ms.Nirushi Theodore ,Brand Executive Aarya of the Raigam Marketing Servises { Pvt } Ltd.
